A Tokyo commuter boards the Metro weighed down by everyday anxieties, only to find himself wandering through a maze of stark, identical corridors that never seem to end. Before long, he realises he’s trapped inside a strange, looping challenge governed by a single rule: notice every anomaly. If something looks different, he must turn back. If not, he can continue forward in the hope of finally escaping through Exit 8. One missed detail, however small, sends him straight back to the beginning, plunging him into a tense cycle of psychological pressure and disorientation.
Adapted from Kotake Create’s hit video game, Exit 8 features a compelling performance from J‑Pop star Kazunari Ninomiya. The film delivers an immersive, unsettling journey into the power of perception, the pitfalls of repetitive thinking, and the ways our surroundings—and the people within them—shape our choices.
