Audiences are invited to look up and embark on a wild ride through time and space, spanning 2000 years of Welsh history—from Romans to Vikings to Victorians. Inspired by the true story of Cardiff’s own Balloon Girl, Louisa Maud Evans, McPake’s play blends fact and fantasy into a whirlwind of energy, humour, and discovery.

Specially created for everyone aged 8+, Balloon Girl is packed with fun, spectacle, and heart. It encourages audiences to embrace the world, lift their gaze, and set off on voyages of imagination.
