Is This Thing Going On?

Alex and Tess have been together a long time, but their marriage is unravelling. Alex moves out of their home to a place in nearby downtown New York and begins to slowly feel out a new purpose in performing stand-up in the local clubs, whilst Tess is beginning to confront the sacrifices she has made for their family. Whilst their split islargely amicable, there are still negotiations to navigate as they organise co-parenting and undergo these shifts in identity taking place and start to question whether old love can take a new form. Loosely inspired by Liverpudlian comedian John Bishop about the start of his comedy career, this is a charming,warm and bittersweet film about middle age with two tender central performances.
