Mother’s Pride

Fred Films is proud to announce Mother’s Pride, a warm, gently funny new feature film from the acclaimed filmmaking team behind Fisherman’s Friends. Set in a charming West Country village, the story centres on the rickety but beloved Drovers Arms, a traditional pub run by widower Mick. When a glossy new gastropub threatens to steal away his loyal regulars, hope arrives in the form of Mick’s son, Cal, who returns home with an ambitious plan: launch a microbrew and use the buzz of the Real Ale Awards to save the family business.
Directed by Nick Moorcroft, who co‑wrote the screenplay with Meg Leonard, Mother’s Pride blends heartfelt community spirit with gentle humour and a celebration of local tradition. The film is produced by James Spring and Fred Films, following its initial announcement in 2022.
The ensemble cast is led by Jonno Davies, Martin Clunes, and James Buckley, with supporting performances from Gabriella Wilde, Mark Addy, Lana Moorcroft, Luke Treadaway, Miles Jupp, Lola‑Rose Maxwell, Josie Lawrence, Karl Collins, and Emily Lloyd‑Saini.
Mother’s Pride brings together a stellar creative team and a beloved cast to deliver a heartfelt, uplifting story about family, resilience, and the power of community.
