Olivier Award-winner Hiran Abeysekera (Life of Pi) takes on the role of Hamlet in a bold, modern retelling of Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy.

Caught between obligation and uncertainty, and hemmed in by a world of influence and entitlement, the young prince confronts the ultimate question at the heart of his story.

Directed by National Theatre Deputy Artistic Director Robert Hastie (Standing at the Sky’s Edge, Operation Mincemeat), this production delivers a sleek, incisive and darkly comic interpretation of the classic play.
