Pride

Set in the summer of 1984, this vibrant new musical tells the extraordinary true story of a young activist who unites a group of gay men and lesbians to support striking miners. As Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) forms an unlikely alliance with a small Welsh village, two communities discover solidarity, strength—and surprising common ground.

Developed and directed by Matthew Warchus, with book and lyrics by Stephen Beresford and music by Christopher Nightingale, Josh Cohen and DJ Walde, the production brings the creative team behind the original Pathé film back together.

With a score inspired by protest anthems, pop, rock, disco, and the Welsh choral tradition, this funny, fierce and deeply moving musical celebrates the power of unity in the face of adversity.
