Sycamore Gap

A gripping whodunnit inspired by the shocking felling of the Robin Hood Tree at Sycamore Gap. Set the morning after the incident, the local police descend on a school to conduct their investigation.

Twelve members of the school’s eco‑club are kept in a classroom, taken out one by one for questioning until the culprit finally cracks. But while they wait, the pupils turn detective themselves — interrogating each other, swapping theories and confronting uncomfortable truths.

Who could commit such a destructive act? What motive could possibly justify it? How will the loss of the tree reshape their club, their community and their sense of responsibility? And when the truth emerges, will any of them be able to move on?

A tense, funny and emotionally charged mystery about blame, belonging and the cost of losing something irreplaceable.
