The Ice Tower

Set in the 1970s, The Ice Tower follows 16-year-old Jeanne, who escapes a remote children’s home and finds refuge in a mysterious film studio below. By night, she secretly roams its dreamlike halls; by day, a film of the same name is being shot—starring the enigmatic Cristina as the regal Snow Queen, whose icyce the heart.

Drawn into Cristina’s magnetic world, Jeanne becomes entangled in a haunting interplay between fiction and reality, love and illusion.

This marks the fourth feature from acclaimed filmmaker Lucile Hadžihalilović, whose hypnotic storytelling and visual mastery have earned her the Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution at the Berlin Film Festival.
