The Voice of Hind Rajab

The Voice of Hind Rahab is a searing portrait of tragedy and resilience.

In January 2024, volunteers at the Red Crescent Society received a desperate emergency call from six-year-old Hind Rajab in Gaza City. As they tried to keep her on the line and send help, Hind, her family, and two ambulance drivers were killed.

Blending Hind’s real phone call with dramatic recreations inside the Red Crescent base, the film offers a poignant exploration of war’s bureaucracy and the human cost behind the headlines.

Premiered in competition at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on 3 September 2025, the film won the Grand Jury Prize and six additional awards. It was released theatrically in Tunisia on 10 September, with a French release set for 26 November through The Party Film Sales. It has also been chosen as Tunisia’s official submission for Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards.
