Macedonian, Turkish with English Subtitles: DJ Ahmet

Ahmet, a teenage shepherd in a remote Yörük village in North Macedonia, spends his days tending his father’s flock and dreaming of a life beyond the mountains. One night, he stumbles upon a clandestine rave — and his neighbour Aya, who is seeking freedom in music before her impending arranged marriage.

With lyrical visuals and a gentle thread of humour, the film immerses us in the inner worlds of two young rebels as they push against tradition, confront family expectations and experience the thrill and danger of first love.
