The Rose of Nevada resurfaces three decades after vanishing with all hands — a ghostly fishing boat drifting back into the harbour of a worn‑down Cornish village. Locals take it as a sign: if the Rose sails again, perhaps their fortunes will rise with it. Nick signs on as crew, joined by newcomer Liam, and together they set out with hope. But when they return, something uncanny has happened — as if the sea has slipped them out of time.
What follows is a mysterious, hypnotic tale steeped in coastal folklore and the strange, salt‑stained magic realism that defines Mark Jenkin’s filmmaking (Bait, Enys Men). Shot on textured 16mm, the film becomes an odyssey through identity, grief, and the pull of the past — a story that feels like a relic washed ashore, unmistakably shaped by Cornwall and the sea.
